Synway's voice boards support various specialized functions and a large selection of CODECs, including automatic A-law and μ-law conversion, linear PCM, IMA-ADPCM, MP3, GC8 (eight-compression ratio), tone generation, tone detection, tone reception, DTMF, call progress monitoring, dial detection, fast/slow pitch invariant replay, support VOX format. The encoded files (WAV format) may be replayed on Windows PC.
